Honda Civic 1.8 AT Full Service

Cartisan recently received a service request from a customer who owns a Honda Civic 1.8 AT. The quote was provided and after the customer agreed, the Cartisan Service Team arrived at the customer’s doorstep.

The vehicle was completely inspected along with the test drive and a digital 50 point inspection report was filled to assess the condition of the vehicle.

The bonnet was popped open and the service began.

First, the air filter was removed. Inspection showed that the air filter required replacing therefore a brand new air filter was installed into the air filter housing.

The coolant reservoir was topped up with fresh coolant

The wheels were removed one by one and the brake pads were removed from the brake calipers. The front pads were in condition although the rear pads were almost completely worn out. The front pads were cleaned and replaced while brand new rear brake pads were installed.

The battery terminals were sprayed with battery terminal spray which slows down the accumulation of deposits on the battery terminals.

A multi-meter was connected to the terminals of the battery and the engine was cranked. The voltage didn’t drop below 10V indicating that the battery was in good condition.

The engine oil filter for the Civic is located underneath the engine block. The oil filter was removed. The engine oil was drained out. A new oil filter was installed into the engine block and 4 liters of fully synthetic engine oil was poured into the engine block.

The engine was then cranked and the car was taken for a test drive to confirm the service was completed successfully.
