Cartisan team in Gurgaon a BMW 325i E90 for periodic service this week.
A quotation was provided and the car was taken to Cartisan Preferred Workshop which has experienced technicians to handle premium cars.
BMW 325i E90 service procedure
The car was first inspected before starting work. The inspection revealed that the vehicle needed replacement of filters, brake pads and also facing of disc rotors.
Brake pads were completely worn out and required replacement
Brake disc had scoring marks and needed disc facing (replacement was not required at this stage)
Air filter was found to be clogged and removed and replaced with a brand new genuine air filter.
Next, the oil filter is removed from the engine, and the engine oil is drained out by unscrewing the engine oil drain nut from underneath the engine block. A new oil filter is fitted to the engine block, before the block getting filled with approximately 6.5 liters of 5W-40 engine oil.
The coolant is topped up with 2 liters of Bosch red coolant.
Note – it is usually recommended to change the cabin filter & fuel filter to keep the car in optimum condition. In this specific case, the customer opted to skip the cabin & fuel filters.
Disc rotors were fitted back after facing. Brake pads were removed from the brake calipers. Finally they were replaced with new brake pads from Textar along with sensors.
The car was lowered to the ground and then taken for a test drive to confirm that the service was carried out successfully.
