Cartisan recently carried out a Hyundai Creta Brake Pad Replacement. I’ve written this article to briefly describe the same.
The Hyundai Creta
The Creta we worked on was a brand new one. The customer had only clocked around 11,000km and was keen on installing Brembo brake pads to his car.
The new Creta is a breath of fresh air. The lines on the front end have gone softer and a bit more fluid as compared to the old. Hyundai has really upped their game over the past few years. In my opinion, it began with the Hyundai Fluidic Verna. The Verna was one of the first few cars to hit Indian roads with a fluidic design. Even Mercedes at the time were boxier. The interiors too were a major upgrade as compared to the plasticky interiors of the Hyundai’s of old.
The new Creta features a host of features as standard including a sunroof, powered driver seat, wireless charging (most people don’t have this in their houses), 17 inch wheels among others. The Creta drives surprisingly well given its size. This is thanks to a well set up suspension. As a result, the car is almost too easy to drive in traffic, especially with the auto box and on the highway, its fast, smooth and goes through the paces effortlessly.
Hyundai Creta Brake Pad Replacement
The Cartisan Service Team were waiting at the customer’s office parking lot by the time he arrived. As soon as the Creta was parked, the tools came out and the service team went to work.
The mechanic raised the car up with the help of a hydraulic jack placed under the Creta. He removed the front wheels. Next, he removed the brake pads from the brake calipers and replaced them with brand new ones from Brembo.
The Mechanic bolted the caliper shut. He checked all the brake components before mounting the wheels back onto the car. The Mechanic lowered the Creta to the ground. The service adviser got behind the wheel and took the car out for a test drive. He confirmed that the brake pad replacement was a success.
